Ever since moving into my own apartment I’ve gotten much more into home decor. There’s something about decorating my own little space that I love! I live in a studio so it can be hard to decorate without things becoming cluttered but I think I’ve finally figured out what works for my space. I’m planning on doing an apartment tour post soon so stay tuned 😉
My piece of advise for anyone decorating a small space is plants, plants, mirrors, and more plants. Adding greenery is an affordable way to bring life into your apartment and keep it feeling fresh. I have noticed that mirrors open up small spaces. Whether they’re a full body mirror or hanging on the wall! My next apartment I want to invest in an acrylic desk and chair. Clear acrylic is a trendy home accessory and it gives you the allusion nothing is in that space because it’s see through.
Urban Outfitters Circle Mirror
Circle mirrors can be great above your bed, in the bathroom or part of a gallery wall. I think they’re a good alternative to just hanging a bunch of pictures next to each other.
If your apartment doesn’t have ceiling lights, floor lamps are a great option because they’re so skinny and only take up a small corner of your room!
Urban Outfitters Jewelry Stand
To help declutter your dresser a stand up jewelry stands can be useful. I like this one because it’s vertical and doesn’t take up much width of the dresser you put it on.
This has nothing to do with decorating a small space but I had to include it because I think its the cutest thing ever. May have to give in and buy it one of these days hahah.
I recently bought these exact shelves and think they’re a cute addition to my wall! If you don’t have floor space to work with to add traditional shelves, wall shelves are the way to go.
This piece is a life saver for my apartment. It’s super practical when trying to make the most of your small space. You mount it into the wall and instantly have the perfect space to eat with only taking up half the amount of space a normal table would!
